- RATIONALE
The programme is aligned to the dynamic changes in research on fundamental elements of anatomy and cell Biology. The programme is also structured to instil requisite skills in line with industry needs as well as for the realization of vision 2030 and Sustainable Development Goals.
The goal of MSc. in Comparative Animal Physiology is to mentor and produce Physiologists who are equipped with appropriate knowledge in specific functional systems across a wide range of animal species, acquire knowledge on tools and techniques, skills and competence in critical thinking, problem analysis and solving as well as innovativeness required to address the needs of the society through established extension programmes, translate the acquired knowledge into relevant disciplines such as Pathology, Human and Veterinary Medicine, Public Health and Pharmacology and other relevant and related fields with a view to enhancing the life of animal species, conservation and even enhancing production and reproduction.
LEARNING OUTCOMES
At the end of the programme, the learner should be able to:
- Undertake cutting edge research in Vertebrate Anatomy and Cell Biology
- Use current knowledge in Vertebrate Anatomy and Cell Biology that will improve their working skills.
- Design and conduct research in various thematic areas within Vertebrate Anatomy and Cell Biology
- Publish and make significant scientific research contributions to the field of Vertebrate Anatomy and Cell Biology
