Dr Catherine Kaluwa, (HoD DVAP) had a consultative meeting today 6/3/2025 with Angella Opondoh PhD student at University of the Witwatersrand South Africa and Evans Griffith PhD student Tufts Cummings University (USA) in preparation for data collection in Turkana County, Kenya.
This study aims to develop the Community One Health Index (COHI)–a participatory, rapid assessment tool that measures community health and well-being at the human-animal-environment interface. COHI is intended to provide governments, NGOs, and communities with actionable insights that reflect community priorities and support integrated, transdisciplinary approaches to health.
