Professor Stephen Kiama finally installed as the 8th Vice Chancellor, University of Nairobi in a glamorous virtual ceremony that was the first of its kind in the history of the University.

Prof. Stephen Kiama, who has his academic roots from this Department has been officially installed as the eighth Vice-Chancellor of the University of Nairobi, taking over from Prof. Peter Mbithi. During his installation in Taifa Hall, Main Campus on June 5th 2020, Prof. Kiama promised to institute reforms and steer the ship during in the turbulent waters. Above, he is handed over the mace, a symbol of Authority and Scholarly Integrity of the University of Nairobi as an institute of higher learning.
